The coroner identified the woman as Mamie Porter, 85, from Simpsonville.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Porter was driving north on Scuffletown Road in a 2007 Buick sedan when the car veered off the road and overturned around 4:48 p.m. near Gresham Road.

Porter was not trapped in the flipped car and she was wearing a seat belt when found, SCHP reports. Porter was taken to Greenville Hospital for treatment, but could not be saved. She was pronounced dead on Sunday.
