Moped Driver Killed in Greenville Crash

The Details:
On Saturday, April 15, a deadly crash occurred near Greenville on Cedar Lane Road near Sumter Street.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. when a moped driver heading south on Cedar Lane Road was struck from behind by a 2008 Toyota Yaris also heading south.
No injuries have been reported on the two occupants in the Yaris at this time. However, the driver of the moped was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
The victim has since been identified as Stanley Lee Simmons, 55, of Greenville, by the coroner.
