Monday night crash leaves one dead

CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC – According to WYFF4.com, the driver of a Ford Mustang died in a car accident in Cherokee County on Monday evening.
The crash happened on Childers Road just south of Gaffney at about 5:30 p.m. The Mustang was driving north, likely at a high rate of speed, when it left the roadway, hit the ditch, then overturned.
The driver was identified as Samuel Jerome Robertson, 43. The front seat passenger of the vehicle was not injured in the accident.
The Mustang was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
