Injuries reported after car crashes head-on into tractor-trailer; highway closes

MODOC, S.C. – According to WRDW, injuries have been reported after a car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer Monday morning.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the accident occurred on South Carolina Highway 28, near Hamilton Branch State Park, around 8:30 a.m. Authorities say a car driving southbound on the highway crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a tractor-trailer driving north.
Details of the injuries are not yet available. The McCormick County Sheriff’s Office said the highway will be closed for several hours.
