Two-vehicle accident kills driver in Greenville, SC | Hammack Law | (864) 326 - 3333

GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. A crash on US-178 killed one person and injured another Tuesday afternoon, WSPA News reports.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened around 3 p.m. near Mock Orange Road, when an SUV attempting to turn on US-178 when it collided with a southbound car. The car veered off the road and the crashed into a tree.

Officials pronounced the driver of the car dead at the scene. The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office identified her as 33-year-old Greenwood resident Dorreen Elizabeth Johnson.

The car’s passenger was taken to Self Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The driver of the SUV had no reported injuries.

This crash is still under investigation by SCHP.
