Man in critical condition after vehicle overturns on I-20

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. – According to WRDW, a man is in critical condition after his pickup truck overturned on I-20 on Wednesday.
Authorities said 38-year-old Alexander Hughes of Grovetown was driving west on I-20 in a pickup truck when the vehicle overturned in the median. Hughes reportedly sustained serious injuries and was taken to Augusta University Medical Center.
Five passengers were inside the vehicle, and four people were ejected during the crash, including a toddler. The five passengers sustained injuries of varying severity but only Hughes was hospitalized.
Police said Hughes was cited for child-restraint violations.
The hospital reported on Thursday that Hughes is in critical condition.
