Crash Alert: South Carolina Trooper reminds drivers to buckle up
June 29, 2020 – Paul Hammack

GREENVILLE, SC – The South Carolina Highway Patrol took to Twitter in another effort by law enforcement to save lives.
“Trooper Brian” reminded drivers that increased traffic in the summer also means an uptick in car accidents as people travel for vacation and beach getaways. Raising awareness about traffic and pedestrian safety is more important than ever during the vacation season.
He and fellow troopers even have a name for the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day: “The 100 Deadly Days of Summer.”
He concludes by reminding drivers and passengers to always wear a seatbelt.
During the summer months, our law enforcement sees traffic collisions and deaths increase as people travel to the beach and other vacation destinations. For this reason, we refer to this period between Memorial Day and Labor Day as ‘The 100 Deadly Days of Summer.’” Buckle up S.C. pic.twitter.com/B3gi9YwFad
