Cherokee Co. Car Fire Causes I-85 Traffic Slowdown - Call 864 3263333

GAFFNEY, SC (CHEROKEE COUNTY) – A car fire Sunday caused a slowdown in traffic for over an hour and a half on Interstate 85 in Cherokee County.

Fox Carolina reports that the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on I-85, near Shelby Highway.

The incident caused multiple lanes of traffic to be closed for over an hour while emergency crews battled the blaze.

There is no word at this time as to what caused the fire.

No injuries have been reported.
