DORCHESTER CO, S.C. – According to WCBD, a police pursuit ended in a car accident and one suspect in custody Wednesday afternoon.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said police attempted to stop a vehicle on Ashley River Road around 2:30 p.m. The car drove off toward Charleston, with police in pursuit, before crashing into a tree on Ashley River Road.

The driver of the vehicle was apprehended by police, but the passenger in the car was not charged.
