One Dead, 82-year-old Woman Charged In Fatal Motorcycle Accident

GREENVILLE, SC – A motorcycle accident on Piedmont Highway yesterday led to the death of one and the charging of an 82-year-old woman with a crime, according to Fox Carolina.
The accused is Ella Thompson, of Landrum, who was driving a 2012 Chrysler sedan. She attempted to pull into Piedmont Highway from a private roadway around 6:20 p.m. Thompson then struck the driver of a 1999 Honda motorcycle, who was not wearing a helmet at the time.
The unidentified victim died at the scene of the accident.
Thompson has been charged with failing to yield the right of way to another motorist.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
