June 11, 2020 – Paul Hammack

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Results are in regarding the investigation of a Florida-based pilot and co-pilot crashing mid-flight despite prior knowledge of a faulty brake system on the plane, Greenville News reports.
The National Transportation Safety Board investigated the 2018 crash and reported the results.
The investigation found the pilot and co-pilot, John Christian Caswell, 49, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Stephen George Fox, 66, of Indian Rocks, Florida “failed to configure the plane in a way that would have allowed an emergency brake system to stop it during landing.”
Back in September 2018, the plane took a nosedive off the Greenville Downtown Airport runway into a ravine.
Both pilots died at the scene, but passengers were taken to a nearby hospital where they recovered from injuries.
The couple flew from Florida to Greenville using a private flight-service company.
