Driver in fatal Greenwood hit-and-run accident identified

GREENWOOD, SC – The driver who killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday has been identified and charged by authorities, according to WSPA.
This is an update to a previous story.
The accused is Alvin Lee Todd Robinson, who has been charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident, driving with a suspended license, possession of narcotics, and methamphetamine trafficking. He is currently being held in the Greenwood County Detention Center.
The crash happened just before midnight on U.S. Highway 25, near Emerald Colony Court, when Robinson allegedly struck and killed 62-year-old Eddie Morgan, of Greenwood, who died on his birthday.
The victim died of blunt force trauma at the hospital later, according to a coroner’s report.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
