Crash Alert: Victims identified after crash in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC – According to WSPA, the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has identified two victims of a Sunday night crash.
The crash happened on Old Furnace Road near Peachtree Road shortly after 10:15 p.m. when the driver of a GMC SUV heading west began swerving across the lanes. He overcorrected, left the road, and struck a tree.
The driver and passenger, identified as 21-year-old Tony Ray Boggs and 17-year-old Wesley Edward Jordan, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
