So I like coffee like most normal coffee drinkers do. But my blog co-writer, Blake Bargar, really LOVES coffee. Blake takes it to another level. You know … the friend who won’t let you put a drop of cream or sugar in your pristine cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain. He loves coffee so much so that he asked me to do a blog on coffee shops in Greenville. Full disclosure – Blake works for Barista Alley in Greer when he is not in college at Winthrop University, but he is an equal- opportunity coffee lover.

But why should a personal injury law firm blog about coffee? Because a good cup of Joe while driving late at night can mean the difference between running into a ditch and making it safely to your destination. I know it is a stretch to tie this into law, but if the Venti cup fits, or even if it doesn’t, we are going to blog about what we love.

To be honest, if I have a cup of coffee after 3 p.m. I am up all night. However, there are occasions, such as driving long distance to visit relatives during holidays (yawn), where a cup of coffee can be life-saving. If you cannot take our word for it, I highly encourage you to go get a shot of espresso or a pour over. The normal bitter and acidic flavors you may expect to taste will not be present, but distinct, bright, and rich flavors are sure to bless your palate. 2. Barista Alley

Barista Alley is the perfect shop to go to if you are looking for a little bit more than just your coffee needs. Not only do they offer amazing coffee from some of the nation’s top roasters, but they also offer amazing crepes, smoothies, and pastries. My favorite part about Barista Alley is the staff. I can honestly say that I have never met a friendlier staff. They do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience possible and that is truly something that should not be taken for granted. The food is great, the coffee will quite possibly make you shed a tear of joy, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If you ever need a place to relax or do work, we highly recommend you head over to downtown Greer and visit this gem.

3. Tandem Coffee

We would be crazy if we did not mention the wonderful experiences happening at Tandem in downtown Travelers Rest. Tandem is one of the best restaurant experiences you can have in Greenville. Tandem is not just about coffee. In fact, you would be missing out on the experience if you did not order a crepe. Tandem’s crepes are delicious and almost guaranteed to instantly make your day better and you stomach happier. Tandem is a warm and welcoming environment with fantastic food and coffee. There is almost always a line out the door as people from all over Greenville come to indulge in the sensory experience of Tandem, but I assure you it is worth the wait.

While Methodical, Barista Alley, and Tandem are three of our favorites, there are so many incredible specialty coffee shops in Greenville. Due South Coffee will offer and incredible coffee experience and exceptional food. The Grateful Brew and The Village Grind are also incredible shops that are definitely worth checking out. All of these shops are incredible and help Greenville get through the day!
