OCONEE COUNTY, SC – FoxCarolina.com reports that investigators are looking into an accident that injured two people on Thursday.

The accident happened at about 9:50 p.m. along South Carolina 11 close to Ridgecrest Road.

Two vehicles, a 1993 Ford Pickup and a 2002 Chevy pickup, were involved in the crash. The Chevy rear-ended the Ford, driving the vehicle from the road and ultimately overturning it.

The Ford was carrying an adult man and an 8-year-old boy, who were both trapped inside their vehicle when emergency crews arrived. They were transported by helicopter to Greenville Memorial. Their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.

The driver of the Chevy had fled on foot following the accident and was not on the scene with officials arrived.

The investigation is still on-going.
