CHESTER COUNTY, SC – According to a local news report, a man from York County died on Interstate 77 south of Richburg on Tuesday.

The accident happened at about 10:15 a.m.

Doughty was transported by helicopter to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where he later passed away. The driver of the first vehicle Doughty struck was not injured. However, the driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a local hospital for injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
