
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. – The Richland County Coroner’s Office identified the victim in Monday morning’s two-car crash as 23-year-old Justice Scipio, ABC Columbia reports. Scipio was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said an autopsy showed blunt force trauma was recorded as the cause of death.
Officials said the crash happened around 3:30 A.M. in the 3700 block of River Drive. Scipio’s Ford sedan crossed the center lane and hit a Hyundai sedan driving the opposite direction head-on.
Emergency responders took the driver of the other vehicle to Prisma Health Richland with serious injuries.
Both the Richland County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate this incident.
