Firefighter Killed in Car Crash in Anderson County

The Details:

According to officials, a man was killed on Monday, October 11 around 2:15 p.m. in a crash that occurred on Midway Road in Anderson County.

South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that the man had run out of gas and was attempting to fill up his car when a truck driver traveling east down Midway Road hit him.

The victim was identified by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office as 29-year-old Anderson County firefighter, Daniel Bagwell. The driver and his passenger were uninjured, and an investigation of this incident is still ongoing.
