The Run-Down:

Unfortunately, a pedestrian has passed away after a hit-and-run crash in Greenville County. According to the GPD, the crash took place Saturday night sometime before 10 pm at the intersection of Mauldin Road and South Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville, South Carolina. The pedestrian was identified by the Greenville coroner’s office as 27-year-old Elijah William Bartholow.

Investigators are still looking for the vehicle in question, which they say is a dark-colored, mid-sized vehicle with a missing side mirror and some damage to the front. Someone in the upstate knows this vehicle and the identity of the owner. If you have any information to help this family, please contact law enforcement.

A Personal Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:

A hit-and-run accident can happen at any moment, which is why it’s imperative that you have the proper uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage. This ensures that your loved ones do not have to carry the financial burden of funeral costs or lost income in the event of your untimely death.

Although the investigation is ongoing, we send our condolences and prayers to the families affected by this tragedy.
