
PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. – According to FOXCarolina, a man was airlifted to a hospital and faces charges after a car wreck that injured multiple people.
South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened on U.S. 123, near Cartee Road, around 5:11 p.m.
According to SCHP, Robert Butler, 46, was driving southbound at excessive speeds on U.S. 123 when his car ran off the side of the road, struck an embankment and then a bridge. The car caught fire as a result.
Butler had two other occupants inside his vehicle at the time of the crash.
Butler was airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He faces charges of driving too fast for conditions and driving under suspension.
His two passengers were taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
