May 24, 2022 – Paul Hammack

The Run-down:
On Sunday, May 22nd, Georgia game wardens patrolling the lake were notified of a boat wreck on Lake Hartwell at around 1:50 PM.
The victim, 17-year-old Eric David Beasley, was found dead in a bass boat after a collision with a cabin cruiser.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement spokesperson Mark McKinnon states that 2 of the six people on board the cabin cruiser were injured and transported to Anderson Memorial hospital by EMS. Their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening by Sheriff Mike Cleveland of Hart County.
Personnel from the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, Anderson EMS, and South Carolina DNR assisted at the crash scene.
This fatal crash is currently being investigated by The Georgia DNR Critical Incident Reconstruction Team (CIRT) and is expected to take 6-8 weeks.
A Personal Injury Lawyer’s Perspective:
Our thoughts and prayers are with Eric David Beasley’s family and loved ones as they navigate through the aftermath of this tragic incident.
At the Hammack Law Firm, we believe victims of boating accidents and other personal injuries should not have to pay for their expenses and losses out of their pockets. They did not cause the accident or their injuries, so they should not have to pay the financial or psychological price.
We work to reduce our clients’ stress and anxiety and make this time as easy on them as possible. Healing should be their primary concern, not navigating the claims process. If you or your family member has been injured in a boating accident. Our team is here to serve you! 864-740-8802
