The Run-Down:

According to the Greenville State Troopers, a bicyclist was left seriously injured after being involved in a hit and run accident that took place around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, on North Nelson Drive near Southchase Boulevard in Greenville County. The vehicle in question was traveling north on N. Nelson drive when it hit the bicyclist and left the scene of the collision.

Master Trooper, Mitchell Ridgeway, reported that the injured bicyclist, a 54-year-old man from Simpsonville SC, was on the road and riding in the dark when he was struck by the vehicle and not wearing any light or reflective clothing when the incident occurred.

The supervisor on the scene states that while the victim of the crash will make a full recovery, the injuries he sustained will affect him for the rest of his life.
