
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. – According to WOLO, the coroner has identified the victim of a fatal single-car accident that happened Tuesday night.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Stacy Elizabeth Bagwell, 12, died when the SUV she was in veered off the road and overturned on Bub Shumpert Road around 8:00 p.m.
Fisher said Bagwell was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene from her injuries.
The driver of the SUV and another passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation of the accident.
