1 Dead and 1 Airlifted to Hospital After Pickens County Crash

The Details:
On Thursday, June 1, a crash occurred in Pickens County, leaving one person dead and one that was airlifted to a hospital.
The crash happened around 12:40 p.m. near Rice Road on Highway 8 when, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic on Highway 8 and hit an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, identified by the Pickens County Coroner’s Office as 82-year-old Margaret Omega Kelley of Easley, died from her injuries at the scene while the pickup truck driver was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
